Try The Hottest Gaggia Evolution Espresso Machine Black and Silver Model: 16100

One look at the Gaggia Evolution and you’ll immediately see that the designers at Gaggia have transformed the Evolution into a streamlined work of art. This espresso machine has sleek housing, and all of the commercial quality components you would expect to see on a Gaggia, including a chrome-plated brass portafilter and a rubber-mounted 15-bar vibration pump for quiet operation.
In addition to these quality brewing components, the Gaggia Evolution has a fantastic boiler system that makes the initial heating process much quicker than other semi-automatic espresso machines. With the help of its ESE approved pod capability, you will look like a well-trained barista as you brew thick, rich espresso on this smart-looking machine.
Commercial Brewing Group
This is the portion of the machine that the portafilter locks into. It is made of chrome plated marine brass, which provides a superior brewing environment through maximum heat stability and component longevity.
Boiler
The Gaggia boiler system is very unique. It is designed of highly conductive aluminum with two heating elements. The heating elements are imbedded into the exterior sides of the boiler, providing even heat distribution. Having the highest wattage system available, incorporated into a low volume boiler (3.5 ounces) provides excellent temperature stability and will heat up quicker.
High Quality Controls with Temperature Ready Light
The Evolution has three rocker arm switches. The one on the top is the main power switch. The middle one is the steam switch that when turned on, will heat the boiler to steam temperature. The bottom switch operates the pump and is known as the brew switch. To start the brewing process, just turn on the switch, wait until you have reached your desired volume and then turn of the switch. There is an indicator light that is illuminated whenever the boiler is up to operating temperature.
Simple To Use Controls
The Evolution features three push buttons that control the main functions of the machine. The button farthest to the left turns the machine on or off. When the machine is on, an indicator light to the right of this button will illuminate. In the center sits the brew button, and to the far right is the steam button. Whenever the boiler is heating (when you turn the machine on, or are heating the machine to steam temperature, for example) an indicator light between the brewing and steaming buttons will illuminate. To release steam from the steam wand, simply turn the knob on the right side of the machine.
Heavy Duty Portafilter and Filter Baskets
The Gaggia Evolution has a heated cup stacking service that allows you to preheat your cups before serving your beverages. Warm cups are desired in making perfect espresso because you are dealing with very small volumes of liquid, which can be cooled off rapidly if poured into a cold cup.
Powerful Pump System
The 15 bar, self-priming, vibratory pump will provide more than enough pressure to make excellent espresso topped with thick crema.
The Gaggia Espresso comes complete with two stainless steel filter baskets for making either single or double shots of espresso, a coffee tamper, 7 gram measuring spoon, instruction manual, and interactive CD ROM user guide.
Coffee for two
The compact and modern designed Evolution is especially suited for couples who like starting their day with a good cup of coffee. It takes about 10 minutes to make the first two cups of cappuccino, starting with a cold machine, so even if your are in a hurry you can still make it to a coffee for two.
Of course you can make coffee with the Evolution for a larger crowd, but not much larger. There is no official capacity limit (although Gaggia’s owner manual warns that the machine is only suited for home use), but making a round of more than 4-6 cups may be quite a bother, especially if you are using the milk steamer.
The operation of the Evolution is quite easy, but if you want to take the best out of it, you will need to make some effort and learn the basics of the “espresso making ritual”. For once, this means that you will have to read the operation manual and follow the operation instructions almost by the word. But that is not enough – you will also have to learn how to select ground coffee, and – the part that most people find the most challenging – learn how to steam milk. The Evolution is not a forgiving machine, but if you are willing to make the effort and learn how to use it, it will reward you with great results
Combining advanced technology with sleek, revolutionary thermo-set plastic housing, this Gaggia home espresso machine makes it simple to brew creamy, full-flavored coffee drinks. The Gaggia Espresso Machine’s high-wattage dual-heating element boiler reaches the ideal temperature in about five minutes, while its 55-watt pump, mounted on vibration-resistant rubber mounts, has power to spare. The Gaggia Espresso Machine’s 44-ounce reservoir fills easily by simply sliding it to the left and pouring the water in, and the espresso machine is approved for use with the world-famous Illy pods for added convenience. Some of the Gaggia Espresso Machine’s other highlights include a commercial-style brew group with a perfect crema disk, easy-to-use controls that have all the necessary temperature-ready lights, a cup warmer, a large drip tray, and a unique turbo system for steaming milk to a foamy froth. The espresso machine includes single and double stainless-steel filter baskets, a plastic coffee tamper, and a 7-gram measuring scoop.
The controls are simple and have all the necessary temperature ready lights.
